Chris Pratt Reveals His Dream Marvel Character: The Punisher

Peter Quill had a great run with Marvel Cinematic Universe, saving galaxies and what not. But as his journey hits a brief pause – or not – as there are still stops where Star Lord could pop by (may be Doomsday), one thing’s clear: Chris Pratt hasn’t given up on Marvel yet. In fact, Peter Quilll isn’t the only role he eyes – he has another dream gig. In conversation with ScreenTime, when asked about his dream role, Pratt answered “Punisher” without hesitation. He continued, “He was my favorite comic book hero growing up, so I’ve always loved Punisher. I get to kind of play a version of The Punisher with James Reece in The Terminal List, but yeah, The Punisher.” While Punisher is already taken by Jon Bernthal in Spider-Man: Brand New day, we will be seeing Pratt next in his upcoming sci-fi thriller film Mercy, which is slated to release this weekend. It follows Chris Raven (Pratt), a detective on trial for the murder of his wife, who must prove his innocence to an AI judge, Judge Maddox (Rebecca Ferguson). As for Peter Quill’s future, Pratt has given confirmation that Quill will indeed return. “I can tell them we made a promise at the end of [Guardians of the Galaxy] Vol. 3 that the legendary Star-Lord will return, and he will return." But when? That’s the question.
