Botswana Reaffirms Unwavering Support for Sahrawi People's Freedom

Gaborone (Botswana), 22 January 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, received a reply message from the President of Botswana, Mr. Duma Gideon Boko, in which he reiterated Botswana’s firm and continued support for the Sahrawi people’s right in their struggle for freedom, independence. The President of Botswana also reaffirmed his country’s commitment to working toward the development of relations between the two countries and to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation for the interests of both states and peoples. President Duma Gideon Boko thanked his counterpart, President Brahim Ghali, for his message on the occasion of the New Year, reflecting the strong relations and close ties between the two countries.
