Oh yes, getting into a hyper-crowded hyper-competitive market at this stage with an overpriced and unremarkable products is absolutely a smart business play. No, really, why? I understand it’s an attempt to diversify, but surely BQ understands these probably won’t even recoup whatever was the development and manufacturing budget they spent?

They most likely didn't spend much on developing this, as there are loads of companies in xina where you can just tell them the specs and they'll make it for you. The only real manufacturing cost here is the moulds, which would be at least US$40k, if they didn't go with a quality mould, unless it's a standard design they just slapped their name on.

Then they can drop the price accordingly. They don’t have the brand name cachè to go for a 100+ mark, they aren’t Logi/Razer/Pulsar/Vaxee and they aren’t catering to a niche like G-Wolves. These aren’t anything that someone couldn’t get from the likes of ATK or MCHOSE for half the price. Just seems like a bizarre move to me, is all.

'So, what mouse did ya get, son?'
'A durk purk ergo, hurr durr'
No seriously, 109,95?
I hope that's in Italian Lire or something, or I can't imagine this happening anywhere on the globe.
In case your historical knowledge is zero:
One thing this mouse really does have nailed down is being black. Gotta hand it to BQ, they know their black paint.

Price is quite too high for mouse that doesnt seem to have anything special in terms of standout feature.
