Remembering Barry Guthrie: A Life Well-Lived in Celbridge & Castlebar

Celbridge, Co. Kildare and formerly of Castlebar, Co. Mayo – January 19th, 2026 – peacefully, surrounded by his family and in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Claire’s Ward, Beaumont Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Mickey and Marie. Beloved husband of Liz, dear father of Aaron and Stephen and adored grandfather of Amy, Michael and Caoimhe. Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, grandchildren, Aaron’s partner Hannah, Stephen’s partner Éilís, brothers Kieran and Cory, sisters Pamela and Sandra, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and his wide circle of friends and work colleagues. Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Celbridge on Thursday evening (22nd January) from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock. A Funeral Prayer Service to celebrate Barry’s life will take place in Cunninghams Funeral Home, Celbridge on Friday morning at 10.30 followed by burial in Donacomper Cemetery, Celbridge.
