Aldershot Town Fixture Called Off After Heavy Rainfall

The pitch had held up well earlier in the week, with 25mm of rain over the weekend and another 17mm since Tuesday morning. While heavy rain was forecast, the pitch was expected to cope. However, a sudden downpour of 8mm in just two hours, combined with a shift in wind direction, meant the pitch could no longer handle the rainfall. Despite being verti-drained after our last game, the surface became unplayable, with this month’s total rainfall now reaching 115mm. A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course.
