Man Arrested After Discovery of People in Lorry on A27

Sussex Police were called to reports of a noise coming from a parked lorry on the A27 at Crossbush, near Arundel, on Monday morning (January 19). Police said they found five people in the rear of the lorry and have detained them on suspicion of “illegal entry to the country”. “A man has been arrested on suspicion of arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation and taken to custody,” Sussex Police said. “The road was closed while the incident was ongoing but has now re-opened. “An investigation is ongoing alongside other agencies.”
